Dermatitis, also called eczema, is an inflammation of the skin. It can
have many causes and occur in many forms. Generally, dermatitis describes
swollen, reddened and itchy skin. A Mayo Clinic description is here.
Dermatitis in association with a trach is not something that is easily
dismissed.
